Elevation of the Holy Cross Church in Czartajew

A chapel built in 1987 thanks to the effort of Prelate Józef Horodeński (Siemiatycze Parish Priest) and Father Bogusła Kiszko (a curate at that time), consecrated in 1991. In 1995 Friars of the Devine Mercy Apostolate (St. Faustina friars). On 21 June 1995 they received a consent from Drohiczyn Ordinary to establish a religious house. After five years of their stay, they left Czartajew. Next to the parish church, the Ecumenical Youth Center has been operating since its establishment in 2001 by Father Antoni P. Dydycza (Bishop of Drohiczyn).
