Informacje

The main purpose of the complex is to protect a fragment of the edge of the Ravine Bug Valley. There are well preserved glacial formations in the form of elevations of considerable altitude, crisscrossed by a network of gorges of erosive origin, flowing down from the upland to the Bug River. There are also communities rich in rare xerothermic species. The complex is a refuge for many species of birds. In the protected territory there are signs of human influence in the form of one of the first chalk mines in Mielnik as well as defense fortifications from the II World War. In the years 959-60 existence of thermal brines was discovered. The complex occupies the area of 59.61 hectares.
