Orthodox Church of Resurrection in Siemiatycze

By a decree His Eminence Highly Blessed Basil, Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland from 16 August 1996 a new Parish Church of Lord Resurrection was erected in Siemiatycze. One of the most important events in the history of the parish was consecration of the upper Orthodox Church, personally performed by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and His Eminence Sawa, Orthodox Metropolitan of Warsaw and All Poland. This tool place on 18 August 2010, on the eve of the Transfiguration of the Lord and holiday celebrations on St. Grabarka Mountain.
