Orthodox Church of Nativity of Holy Virgin Mary in Rogacze

An Orthodox parish church. It belongs to the Deanery of Kleszczele of the Warsaw-Bielsk Diocese of the Polish Autocephalous Church. The Orthodox Church in Rogacze surely existed at the beginning of the 17th century. In the 18th century in place of the old church, a new Uniate Orthodox Church was build, funded the Jerzy Matuszewicz Foundation. In 1839 the Orthodox Church in Rogacze was administratively added to the Russian Orthodox Church. In 1872 the building was entirely devastated by fire. In place of the burnt Orthodox church a church purchased from the Parish of Dubiny was moved here. In 1944 the building was severely damaged due to bombardment. After the war the building underwent a few restorations. A thorough renovation was conducted at the beginning of the 21st century. The Orthodox Church is situated in the eastern part of the village at the confluence of roads leading to Miedwieżyk and Mikulicz.
