“The Bug Valley” Protected Landscape Area

The Bug River Landscape Protection Area constitutes, along with protected areas in the neighboring voivodeships and the Podlasie Bug River Gorge, an element of the entire Bug River protection zone. Areas adjacent to the Bug River are characterized by a relatively big area covered by natural forest, meadow and water communities. The fauna is rich and interesting here, with many protected and rare species in Poland. The total area is 30,162 ha. The area takes up around 90% of the Mielnik Municipality.
