The Bug River Canoe Tourism Center

The history of this place begins on May 1, 2013, when the Canoeing Museum is established in Drohiczyn. It is the only museum of this type in Poland. Since the uprising, it was visited by over 50 thousand. people. Due to the great interest in canoeing in Nadbużański Podlasie (this is where the largest canoeing trip in Poland is organized - 500 kayaks), an idea arises to create a place that will further promote Canoeing Tourism.

In 2018, the Drohiczyn Commune begins the implementation of the project "We are connected by the Bug - creating two cross-border canoeing tourist routes" implemented under the Poland-Belarus-Ukraine Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020. It is thanks to the implementation of the project that the Nadbużańskie Canoe Tourism Center in Drohiczyn is established.

The building houses a canoeing Tourist Information, a rich exposition of the Canoeing Museum (over 40 historic canoes), multimedia photo exhibitions, a kayak cinema, modern kayaks with accessories, a swimming pool for testing equipment and the only kayaking simulator in Poland. The center will also be a place where meetings of the canoe industry, boatbuilding workshops on the construction of canoes, canoe demonstrations and meetings with travelers (canoeists) will be organized.
