The cemetery in Siemiatycze was established in 1806 as a multi-faith cemetery. Catholics, Evangelicals and Uniates were buried here. During the January Uprising in the town and also directly on the cemetery a three-day battle took place which ended with a defeat of the insurgents. At the cemetery there is a symbolic grave of insurgents with a commemorative monument. Next to it is a burial place of soldiers who died in the Polish-Bolshevik war in 1920. We will find many interesting tombstones and two chapels at the necropolis.
