Saints Comas and Damian Orthodox Church Icons of Our Lady, Joy of All the Afflicted in Koterka

The church is situated in a sacred place called Koterka. The history of the church is a fascinating testimony to Apparition of the Mother of God, as well as the deep faith of the local population. The church was constructed in 1912, in the place of apparition, where a spring (that to this day is still by the church) gushed from the ground. Visitors collect water from the spring for themselves or their relatives who are ill. Numerous miraculous healings have been noted here. The magical character of this place encourages even short-time visitors to reflect and pray, offering peace, solace and spiritual happiness.
