“Uszeście” Nature Reserve

The “Uszeście” Nature Reserve was established in 1985 on the area of more than 12.06 hectares on an end moraine. It is a florist reserve which is protected to retain xerothermic vegetation (photophilic, drought-resistant) containing a wide range of rare plant species. It covers two moraines with steep slopes, the so-called "Duże Uszeście" (204 m) and "Małe Uszeście" (174 m) in the northern part of the town. These are the highest hills in the Drohiczyn Upland.
